Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • Please be advised that we currently cannot process submissions beyond the planned thematic issues for 2024, 2025, and 2026 (consult the announcement page for Calls for Papers). Should there be a change of plans, you will be notified.
  • At this time we only accept submissions of individual articles and not themed issues.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The format is correct (.doc or .rtf).
  • The document is anonymized (see: https://www.siam.org/publications/journals/related/journal-policies/detail/protecting-referee-personal-information).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • Rights and permissions have been secured.
  • Style requirements listed in the “Instructions for Contributors” are observed.
  • An abstract of your essay (180 words, +/- 10%), including your name and affiliation, and a short bio sketch (max. 200 words) are included in a separate document.
  • A list of 5-7 keywords is included at the end of the article.
